Considering therapy but worried it might be a bit awkward?

That’s exactly where The Listening Booth comes in. This is therapy - but it starts with music. Your music. Conversations, even the difficult ones, often start more naturally when we’re focusing on something else.

At The Listening Booth, it’s simple; bring along an album, a playlist, or even just one song. We’ll listen to it together and see what conversations arise. There’s no pressure, no script - just music and an experienced therapist ready to listen when you’re ready to talk.

Based in Walthamstow, East London, The Listening Booth offers a different way into counselling - one that meets you where you are, not where therapy textbooks say you should be.

Individual, Music-led therapy for adults

The Listening Booth is not music therapy in the clinical sense. It’s individual counselling that uses the music you choose as a way to ease into the therapeutic process. You decide what we listen to and where the conversation goes.

01

Choose Your Music

Bring an album, playlist, or a single song. It could be something meaningful, nostalgic, or something you simply enjoy.

02

Listen Together

We sit and listen together. Just one song might bring up feelings, memories, or thoughts you’ve been carrying.

03

Let Conversation Flow

From the music, we move into conversation — about whatever comes up. We can keep listening or focus on what matters to you.

You can listen to the same music every session or change it each time. It’s your Listening Booth. Sessions are run by myself, Remy Felix Vas; I'm a qualified, experienced, and BACP Accredited therapist.

Counselling for anxiety, depression, and whatever life has or is throwing at you

You might be feeling anxious or depressed. You may have experienced loss - a person, a partner, a job. These aren’t always easy things to talk about with anyone. Or maybe it’s been a long time since you listened to a particular album or song and you’d like someone there as you experience it again.

As an experienced therapist, I have worked with clients from many different backgrounds across a wide range of issues:

Depression
Anxiety
Self & Self-Image
Life Transitions
Career Concerns
Bereavement
Self-Harm
Suicidal Thoughts
Stress & Burnout

Whatever you’re going through, please get in touch for a free phone consultation to see if The Listening Booth is right for you.

Remy Felix Vas — BACP Accredited Therapist at The Listening Booth, Walthamstow BACP Registered and Accredited Member logo

Hi, I'm Remy Felix Vas. I'm a qualified, experienced and BACP Accredited Therapist

I love music and I love my work as a therapist so what better combination than the two? Prior to becoming a therapist I was a professional music composer, producer and performer. I set up The Listening Booth after realising that sometimes clients can find the process of therapy difficult to get started and that therapy can happen when we're not thinking about therapy

As a BACP Accredited Therapist, it means I have demonstrated a minimum level of client experience (currently 4 years) and my practice meets their higher standards. I have professional indemnity insurance and I receive regular clinical supervision to ensure safe and effective practice. I also hold an enhanced DBS check
